Practical insights for writers from Jessica P Morrell

Wishing you peace in the holiday season

Written By: Jessica Morrell - Dec• 26•17

Snow and freezing rain swooshed into the region on Christmas eve leaving a dangerous layer of ice. But with it, came beauty and a winter’s hush. Wishing readers and writers peace and hope in this lovely season. I realize that 2017 has been a hard, trying year for many of us, but together we can build a better world. And as always, keep writing, keep believing, and keep dreaming.

    Hello Jessica,

Through ice, snow, and now rain, your words of holiday good wishes remind me how much your comments have meant to me: to send me back again and again to pen and paper and now a manual Smith-Carona. that shoots the paper over the roller to view what was previously written.
Sometimes pithy, sometime laughing out loud to your word choice, but like this current page, to remind me to drink in the sound of a snow-covered landscape winter (e.g.winter’s hush) and notice the “beauty” of bare tree branches sparkling from coated ice. Wishing you a happier new Year.

      Norma,
Lovely to hear from you again and thanks for stopping by. My comments on this site have been working oddly lately so it’s always nice to see a familiar name.
And I so admire you for working on a Smith-Corona. I can imagine the satisfying dings and keystroke sounds. Wishing you a productive, healthy, and peaceful 2018.
      Jessica
